Native American Heritage Month Celebration sponsorings

Zoom
12:00 PM

Join us Tuesday, November 30th at 12pm for the closing ceremony for Native American Heritage Month, as we share stories, listen to music, and share our passion for continuing to learn about and celebrate Native American heritage beyond November!

We are honored to celebrate Native American Heritage this month - and every month - at Sonoma State University.

We are grateful to the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and Chairman Dr. Greg Sarris for their support in holding space for learning, research, and community.

We are grateful for support from Shelly Gomez in the Hub Cultural Center, Malena Hernández in the Santa Rosa Junior College Intercultural Center, Dr. Brenda Flyswithhawks at the SRJC and Dr. Mary Churchill at the SRJC and SSU, Becky Cale in the Green Music Center, Dean Hollis Robbins and Leigh McTaggart in the School of Arts and Humanities, Vice President Jerlena Griffin-Desta and Tramaine Austin-Dillon in the Office of the President, and Dr. Janet Hess, Acting Chair of Native American Studies, who was awarded the National Endowment for the Humanities COVID Relief grant this semester.
